Amsterdam Animal Hospital to Close After 44 Years of Service

After forty-four years of caring for the pets and families of Amsterdam, New York, we have an important update to share with our valued clients and community.
Effective July 31, 2025, Amsterdam Animal Hospital will permanently close and no longer offer veterinary appointments.
With Gratitude: Celebrating Dr. Beck and Wishing Him a Happy Retirement
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mark Beck, who selflessly postponed his retirement for the past three years to ensure continuity of care for our patients. Despite our efforts, we were unable to recruit a new veterinarian to join our team, and the decision to close the hospital will allow Dr. Beck to begin his much-deserved retirement.
Dr. Beck’s dedication, loyalty, and perseverance—especially in recent years—will always be remembered and deeply appreciated. We wish him all the best in this next chapter.
